Across the 10-domain scheduling set, Cal.com has top 3 link authority but ranks 8th on organic traffic.
The scheduling set at a glance.

Cal.com is 8th of 10 on organic traffic and 9th on traffic value, with the 3rd-smallest keyword universe.
Cal.com’s footprint is small but concentrated: 1,492 ranked keywords (when2meet and Chili Piper are smaller), yet it ranks 3rd in the set on link authority (below). Two outliers shape this table: when2meet earns 104,725 visits/mo from 2 pages (a single meeting-poll utility ranking for very-high-volume generic terms), and SavvyCal carries 11,406 keywords worth only $8,466/mo, a long tail of low-value, low-position terms.

Cal.com ranks high or not at all: 82% of its keywords land in the top 10, and none reach past position 50.
The set splits into two camps. Cal.com, Chili Piper, and when2meet run small, focused footprints with essentially no long tail; Acuity, Setmore, SavvyCal, and Koalendar carry thousands of keywords parked at positions 51–100. On top 3 share Cal.com is mid-pack (33.8%, 6th of 10): its profile concentrates in the top 10, but less of it reaches the top 3 than the brand-led leaders manage.
Top 3 counts and ranked totals are exact from Ahrefs metrics for all 10 domains: the one position slice that needs no floors. Finer buckets hit the 500-row API cap on the sprawling profiles and are reported as floors in the table below. Source: Ahrefs Site Explorer, US, July 4, 2026.
Cal.com’s own distribution, fully resolved: 82% of its ranked keywords land in the top 10, and none reach past position 50.
All five bands exact (the 4–10 band resolved by sub-splitting: 4–6 = 285, 7–10 = 435). Cal.com, Chili Piper, and when2meet form the set’s “small and concentrated” camp (essentially no keywords past position 50) versus thousands parked at 51–100 on the sprawling profiles.

Note: values marked ≥ are floors. Those bands returned the Ahrefs API’s 500-row maximum, and the true counts are higher. Where the 4–10 band is capped, the 51–100 residual cannot be cleanly separated and is labeled “tail.” Cal.com’s row is the only mid-size profile with every band exact. On link authority Cal.com is a top 3 player in the set: DR 92 (2nd), 82,771 referring domains (3rd).
Cal.com holds Domain Rating 92 (tied with Acuity, behind Calendly’s 95), places 3rd on live referring domains, and 2nd on Ahrefs Rank (337 vs Calendly’s 37). Calendly remains a 10× outlier on link volume (832,452 referring domains) with the deepest elite tier (314 DR 91–100 domains to Cal.com’s 130). The gap between Cal.com’s link authority and its 8th-place footprint is the audit’s central fact: the authority is there; the pages are not.

Cal.com is the set’s most active publisher over the past year. The publishing gap is not volume; it is page type.
Measured from each domain’s own dates (not a ranking proxy): Cal.com publishes 10.9 posts/mo over the trailing year (#2 behind only Koalendar’s recent burst) and leads the set on momentum (16.7/mo over the last 3 months, 12.2/mo over 24 months, on a 583-post corpus). Calendly publishes 2.4/mo: Cal.com out-publishes it roughly 4.5:1. So the search gap is not a publishing-volume problem. Calendly wins with commercial pages, not cadence. That is the audit’s thesis: page type, not more blog posts.
Trailing windows against a July 4, 2026 clock; every date from the domain’s own HTML, JSON-LD, sitemap lastmod, or Wayback (method labeled per domain in the matrix above). The 3-month rate is noisier (small denominator): momentum, not a stable rate. Koalendar’s 11.0/mo is a recent burst: zero posts for a year, then 6–22/mo since Sep 2025. Cal.com is the only domain pairing a large corpus (583 dated posts) with a durable double-digit cadence. Not charted: doodle.com (unmeasurable: no publish date exposed anywhere; ~168-post corpus) and when2meet.com (no blog: structurally zero, not a measurement failure). Each domain exposes different date signals in its server HTML.
The comparison is asymmetric by design, and the asymmetry is a finding. Cal.com does embed its published date in server-delivered HTML (in the RSC payload; a plain curl recovers it, same for Chili Piper via Webflow). What Cal.com lacks is a dateModified and any sitemap lastmod: it publishes fast but discloses no update signal. Calendly exposes both JSON-LD dates plus per-URL sitemap lastmods. Doodle alone discloses no dates at all: no publish date in the raw or rendered HTML, only a uniform build stamp, and its current blog URLs aren’t in Wayback.

Every date pulled live on July 4, 2026 from the domain’s own HTML, JSON-LD, sitemap, or the Wayback CDX API. Cal.com coverage is 583 of 660 sitemap posts (88%): 77 posts returned a truncated HTML variant without the date node (valid posts, so the true rate is, if anything, higher). Wayback spot-checks validated Cal.com’s on-page dates (first capture followed the stated date on 4 of 5 posts).
Updating velocity is measurable for six domains; a blank cell means the domain does not disclose it, not that it never updates.

Share of the dated corpus carrying a modified date inside the trailing window (clock: July 4, 2026). Cal.com and Chili Piper expose a published date only; their blank cells mean not disclosed, not “never updated.” Calendly’s 100% is an upper bound: the field partly carries a site-wide re-stamp, so read it as “touched,” not necessarily hand-edited. Among domains that expose it, Calendly and Koalendar refresh essentially the whole corpus within 12 months, Acuity 85%, youcanbook.me 79%; Setmore (10%) and SavvyCal (0%: nothing published or touched since March 2023) are frozen. curl fetches of sitemaps, robots.txt, and raw blog HTML, all on July 4, 2026; mode=subdomains. Organic footprint, position distribution, traffic, and value are US-scoped; Domain Rating, Ahrefs Rank, referring domains, backlinks, and DR bands are global (Ahrefs does not scope link metrics by country). Counts are exact wherever a query returned under the 500-row API cap; capped bands are reported as floors (≥), never resolved by guesswork. Publishing velocity is measured from each domain’s own published dates (served blog HTML, JSON-LD, or genuine sitemap lastmod, validated against the Internet Archive where useful), not from ranking stock. The per-domain method is labeled above. Updating velocity is measurable only where a domain exposes a modified date. Cal.com serves a published date but no modified date, so its updating cadence is undisclosed, not zero: itself a technical finding. Every number is from a live fetch, render, or archive query; nothing is modeled.
